Is there a way to automatically open Voice Dial when I press the phone button on the Imate Jasjar ? Also when using a blue tooth car kit ?
Thanks
Ralph

I have a O2 XdaII mini and installed the voice dial 2.1 (trail version) and I may have well installed a random number generator- I have tried headsets, quiet environments, noisy ones and the best i can do is to get it right about one in 10. I have also tried speaking in an american accent! I have disabled all but about 10 contacts and even recorded my own prnounciations...It wont even recognise goodbye reliably...It has become quite a party joke. Any suggestions?

VoiceDial will always check to see if AGC is enabled. If it is enabled then it tries to disable AGC automatically. When VoiceDial is done it sets AGC back to the original setting whether enabled or disabled. If this is not happening you disable it by going to Start > Settings > System > Microphone AGC. (Steps may vary per device)

Hi, how can I definie a new button for the start of VoiceDial. At the moment, it is defined the notice button but i could not change this over the standart W2003CE dialog (Settings -> Buttons). Surely, i could add the start with another button (e.g. Camera), but than i have two buttons for voicedial. THX, Wolfgang

You know I have never had trouble with this. I have the iMate Jam. For me it is Start > Settings > Personal > Buttons. I select the desired buttons with the pen and then below there is a drop-down that allows me to choose a program. When finished I hit "OK" to save the chioce. I had another gentleman with the same trouble.
Let me know.

Hi - I just downloaded this software and it works great except for one problem! I've assigned it to a key on the front of my UTStarcom 6700 but when I press it, I get a "The file cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file" If you can fix this you've got a sale!!!

Hello: Has any testing been done for the Verizon XV6700 (should be the same as the Sprint PPC-6700, correct?) or the Treo 700w regarding activation of VoiceDial from a Bluetooth headset?
In addition, can a Bluetooth headset button be used to "wake up" the handheld to receive a voice command?
Thank you,
- Brad

As you may know HTC has a frimware problem with the Bluetooth headset on the Sprint 6700 device. The workaround for one touch activation on the Bluetooth headset after the product is launched is as follows: Instead of using VoiceDial 2.0 WM5 PPC that was designed for the product, use VoiceDial 2.1 SP2003 that is for the smartphone platform. No testing on the TreoW yet. For free demo goto: www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=19511

You can ask any general questions about this product here. I've downloaded and installed on my XDA 2s an evaluation version of Voicedial 2.1, which supposedly supports voice dialling over bluetooth? However, that is not happening with my XDA 2s and a Visortalk 3.5. Is the bluetooth capability part of the evaluation version? Or is there a problem with compatability between Voicedial 2.1 and my hardware? Talbot.

Once the program is launched, all you should have to do is open a channel on your headset. The devices themselves are slowly getting to the point where you can launch from the headset. But the imate jasjar is the only one we have tested so far. I look forward to the advancement in technology. It is not a limitation of the software.

Treo 700W: If you are having trouble installing VoiceDial 2.1 WM5 SP on your Treo 700W. Install the Voices & VoiceDial seperate.

Rick: Your replys all include the statement "Once the program is launched". What are the current supported methods of launching the program? Specifically is it possible to launch the program via a button on a Bluetooth headset?
Thank you,
- Brad

Yes. Because there are not many devices that support the Bluetooth launch. In fact I only know one for sure. I would not want to mislead.
