I noticed that it gave a list of phones that your fonix 2.1 is made for. Since I have the xv6700, which one would I choose? And will this be one that will work with bluetooth?

On the Sprint 6700 VoiceDial 2.1 SP2003 works best.
With your XV6700 I have been having people use the regular VoiceDial 2.0 WM5 PPC version, which was made for that kind of device.

Voicedial on my SPV M500 has captured one of the hardware buttons. I have changed the settings (Settings/personalto reassign the button but Voicedial seems to have overridden this somehow.

Hi, how can I definie a new button for the start of VoiceDial. At the moment, it is defined the notice button but i could not change this over the standart W2003CE dialog (Settings -> Buttons). Surely, i could add the start with another button (e.g. Camera), but than i have two buttons for voicedial. THX, Wolfgang Voicedial on my SPV M500 has captured one of the hardware buttons. I have changed the settings (Settings/personalto reassign the button but Voicedial seems to have overridden this somehow. Hi Rick, I'm having the same problem with my brand new XdaIIi (2K3SE). Using the version of Fonix distributed by O2, I've found that it has hooked to the Notes button and won't let go. The Buttons dialog shows the Notes application as being assigned to the button but, even if I change it to something else then change it back, it refuses to launch Notes, always Fonix. Any idea of a registry hack or something to cure this? BTW I'm happy to test any fixes you want to try on the device. Cheers, Mike

Sounds like you should uninstall and email me @: VoiceDialSupport@fonix.com
We may have to work through it.

I am considering a purchase of the XV6700. However it does not support voice dialing over bluetooth. Will VoiceDial 2.x allow me to dial over bluetooth and if so how? Will I have to press a button on the device or can I use the button on the headset?
Thanks.

Currently, Bluetooth audio only reaches the telephony circuitry and not the main cpu where we need it to do speech recognition. We are currently working with Microsoft and several device manufacturers to correct this problem in future devices.
A possible workaround is to use a device such as the Jabra A210. This device will connect your Bluetooth headset directly to the audio jack of your Windows Mobile Device.
If you have a SmartPhone or WM5 device like the Audiovox SMT5600 or iMate sp3, then VoiceDial 2.1 will work great with your Bluetooth headset. The hardware won't support starting VoiceDial from your headset button, but you should be able to launch it from the phone and then do everything else through the Bluetooth headset.
The iMate JasJar that was just released does support launching VoiceDial via your Bluetooth headset!

Are you intentionally not responding to questions regarding Verizon XV6700. It appears from checking this board that every question asked about XV6700 you make reference to the Sprint version of this phone.
These phones are basically the same but there are known firmware differences and as I understand it Sprint is offering some kind of an ROM upgrade and Verizon may as well shortly.
With a Jabra JX10 Bluetooth Headset and the Verizon XV6700 can we make use of the Voice Dial capabilities of your software via the headset or not.
If not there is at least one software package that does offer this capability

We have not tested the Verizon XV6700 in house. But I have customers who have them.

Hi,
Is there any way to choose which number is dialled for a particular contact? It seems to choose the first number it finds for the contact, ie; work, home, mobile etc.

I have installed the demo version of Fonix on my Imate Jasjar. Everything works well including the bluetooth headset activation, but the system failed to recognise me properly. I opted for the UK version as it is closest to a South African accent, but still the system had great difficulty in recognising "Dial a number"?
I have subsequently decided to uninstall the software using "Remove Programmes". I now have the problem that I have lost functionality on the previous "Voice Dial" button. It open the "Voice Note" application without fail, although the button allocation says "Voice Dial". Further to this, the bluetooth headset activation button also no longer starts the "Voice Dial" application. Please help! I use the voice dialing extensively while driving connected to a bluetooth car kit and now cannot do this anymore.
I want to avoid performing a factory reset as the reinstating of all my settings is not an option. Many thanks.

Hello,
I'm searching voicedial for WM5 ppc in FRENCH, but unfortunately, I can't manage to find it.
The link provided and pointing to pocketgear.com leads in fact to WWE version of voicecentral.
I also tried all the links writen in a different topic (where voicedial is sold, or something like that) with no succes. The only file I found in french, on smartphone.net, is for smartphone, and the archive is corrupted.
So could you please send me (to the address I filled in registration form) either a trial version of voicedial in french for a WM5 pocketpc (it's WM6 in fact, but since it is not a major upgrade, WM5 version should work fine), or a link where to find this french version for WM5 PPC.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
J.
