please forgive the poor typing- thought that there was an edit button, but I guess not.
what I was trying to ask was knowing that there are issues with your voice dialer and the PPC 6700, will voice central work any better with Bluetooth headsets? I have the Jabra BT800.

I'm and interested in this product and also have Sprint's PPC6700. Could you please/advise which version and product I should buy. I was hoping that VoiceCentral, being that VoiceDial is part of this suite, that when wanting to use the VoiceDial part of it only that this should work with Bluetooth. I have read and understand that Bluetooth audio only has access to the phone part of WM5 (limitation of Microsoft programing) and that VoiceDial by itself works with bluetooth audio. I would think that the program would be programmed as such that it would be able to intelligently distinguish when it would be permissable to use VoiceDial via bluetooth audio and when it can't therefore switching to non-bluetooth audio (when accessing cpu based operations). Is this correct and if not then what's stopping it from working this way? If it doesn't work the way I think it should could we buy both VoiceDail and VoiceCentral and have both installed on the same time? I would just initiate VoiceCentral when needed but have VoiceDial running most of the time. I realize I would probably have to exit VoiceDial first (please confirm). If I do have to buy both can I get a discount? Could you please explain the problem/bug the that version it was designed for has? I've read in this forum that the VoiceDial for Mobile Phones is being recommended to be installed instead of the PDA version. Will this be fixed with later updates? If we buy the Mobile Phone version now and the PDA version gets fixed later we will have to buy the PDA version too (or is the purchase for both versions)? Does the Mobile Phone edition lack something that the PDA version has? Thanks for you time, Luis Gutierrez Upland, California www.ConventionalLoans.net

VoiceCentral is currently not supported on the Windows Mobile 5 platform. I do not have a timeline on when it will be yet. I am sorry about it and would like to offer it, however we are a small company with limited resources. fonixspeech.com

This is rather confusing because I purchased VoiceCentral to use on my PPC-6700, and it worked fine. It worked well with my Bluetooth headset including button activation. However, I just changed carriers and got a T-Mobile MDA (US model, similar to the European MDA Vario. I have two issues with it, although in general it does function. One is that the headset button won't activate VC (though it does activate VoiceDial). Second issue is that when I activate it on the PPC, it plays VERY quietly, so you can barely hear it even holding it to your ear. This part I don't really care about, as long as the headset works.
So why did it work on the 6700, but not the MDA which is essentially the same device?
If it won't work, will my registration code for VoiceCentral work for VoiceDial?

Well, that was an easy fix (the BT button issue).
HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VOICECOMMAND\Path
Set that key to HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VOICECOMMAND\Program Files\VoiceCentral\VoiceCentral.exe
I still have extremely low volume when I fire up VC on the device itself, but I almost never do that so it's not a big deal. What else "shouldn't" work with WM5?
