Working VoiceDial with Bluetooth:
1) Launch the Bluetooth Headset. You should hear some kind of clicking noise, which is saying the audio gateway is open
2) Launch the VoiceDial Program
3) Begin Speaking

Laz,
You should be able to get it on the Treo 700w. It is not a new way of do it. I was just recently asked and wanted to make sure it was on the board.

HP hw6515:
Your device is a Windows Mobile 2003 device. Sorry, VoiceDial 2.0 for Windows Mobile 2003 devices do not support Bluetooth at this time and will be considered legacy devices. This is a limitation of the Windows Mobile operating system and the devices that are currently available. Currently, Bluetooth audio only reaches the telephony circuitry and not the main cpu where we need it to do speech recognition. We are currently working with Microsoft and several device manufacturers to correct this problem in future devices.
A possible workaround is to use a device such as the Jabra A210. This device will connect your Bluetooth headset directly to the audio jack of your Windows Mobile Device.
If you have a SmartPhone device like the Audiovox SMT5600 or iMate sp3, then VoiceDial 2.1 will work great with your Bluetooth headset. The hardware won't support starting VoiceDial from your headset button, but you should be able to launch it from the phone and then do everything else through the Bluetooth headset.

I have a Cingular 8125. I saw in a previous post about editting the registry tohave Fonix rather than Voice Command. I went to do this, but saw that the key was already pointing to Fonix. Yet the only way I have found to get the gateway on is to manually start it. What am I missing?

VoiceCentral 3.1 WM5 PPC will work better on the 8125. VoiceCentral 3.1 WM5 PPC can be purchased @: www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=22779To install VoiceDial, if you are running VoiceCentral 3.1 WM5 PPC: 1) Synchronize your Windows Mobile Device with your desktop computer. 2) Run the install application from your desktop computer and follow the instructions on screen. 3) If you leave the license number field blank during installation you will be able to use VoiceDial for 30 days. After the trial period you will need to purchase a license.
